It is important for us to provide an answer to some open questions about leather and to explain the difference between real leather and imitation leather.
An example of fake leather or imitation leather is bound leather. During production, leather remains of animal skin are created, these remains are glued together with embossed polyurethane or latex coating. The result is called bound or reconstructed leather. Another example is "Faux Leather" - this must not be called "genuine leather", as it is produced chemically or organically. It could be produced from pineapple or mushrooms, for example. Of course this is just another example, because there are many types of faux leather that can be made from different materials.
