Due to the uniqueness of the dual tone effect, Crazy Horse is a sought after finish. The effect is developed by using two colors, one in the dying process and one in the finishing. This allows the bottom color to “pull-up” over time and creates a patina with a marbled surface. Depending on the two colors this can create a vintage look like in our Signature collection, or in the case of our Midnight Blue collection a contemporary spin on a classic color way.

Although the name "Crazy Horse" can be a little misleading, it is not made of horses, rather our leather is made from 100% full grain cowhide. The finishing get's its name from the historic popularity of using this specific finish to make riding saddles. It's unique nature of a vintage look that is obtained without compromising the durability made it the perfect choice for the saddle makers, and for your bag.
