Insider Bucket list of the South of France
There’s no place like the Côte D’Azur! Salt breeze in the air, massive yachts lining the harbors, and the sun shining bright. From the glitz and glamour of Monte Carlo to the relaxed Mediterranean beach vibes of Nice. It seems like this small slice of coast along the South of France has something for everyone.
First Stop: Nice
Stroll down the Promenade des Anglais and into old town, where you can find endless amounts of seafood restaurants. Check out the Marché aux Fleurs on Cours Saleya: An open air market with fruit, flowers, and other small giftables… Grab some fresh fruit and head to the beach only two blocks from the market for a nice (no pun intended) picnic. Make your way up to the Parc du Chateau for a panoramic view of Nice. This park is located on top of a hill right outside of the city center of Nice, while taking a bus is an option, the walk offers incredible views and it’s good way to work off all that seafood!
"After a day at the beach, enjoy a glass of fresh rosé from the region and watch the heteroclyte crowd strolling along the harbor and its impressive yachts."
Next Up: St. Tropez
Stroll along the Jean Réveille to see the artists lined down the coast, capturing the essence of the Mediterranean coastal town in their paintings. See and be seen on the Plage de Pampelonne, which has been the stomping grounds of the glamorous movie stars of the past and present. After a day at the beach, enjoy a glass of fresh rosé from the region and watch the heteroclyte crowd strolling along the harbor and its impressive yachts. To enjoy Saint Tropez with a calmer vibe, come by in May, June or September.
Small and Charming: Eze
Transport back into the medieval times as you wander through the windy streets of Eze, a tiny town built on the cliffs between Nice and Monaco. The town is filled with exquisite art galleries and tiny cafes. Visit the exotic botanical garden on the very top of the city, to see rare plants, and flowers all nestled into the park build into the cliffs. The lookout point within the park is a great place to relax and enjoy the view of the cliffy coast line.
Last but not least: Monaco
Gamble at the World famous Monte Carlo Casino, or experience the Casino from the bar while sipping one of their house crafted cocktails and watching the high rollers at the blackjack tables. Check out the marine life in the Musée Océanographique de Monaco, just a sheet of glass between you and some of the most exotic sea animals, sharks, and beautiful coral reefs. Don’t miss the opportunity for a instagram worthy photo-op rooftop cafe. The breathtaking views of Monaco’s coast will have you dreaming of never leaving.
